About Eggerts Crossing Civic League
The Eggerts Crossing Civic League is a voluntary, non-sectarian, non-partisan organization that brings together positive community forces to enrich and improve community life in Lawrence Township.

The Civic League was established by a group of residents under the name of "Community Service Club" in 1949. This name was changed to Eggerts Crossing Civic League, Inc. in 1953.  

The goals of the Eggerts Crossing Civic League are to:

  • Conduct on-going community needs assessment activities which help in the determination of those areas or conditions which require fundamental change or improvement.  Some of these areas/conditions include:  housing and housing rehabilitation, education; technology training; economic development; health; road repair; and transportation;

  • Coordinate the provision of community awareness programs which inform the public of these conditions, and situations that encourage the development of community forms, which serve to outline potential solutions;

  • Partner with other   groups and agencies in coordination of activities which lead to the development of community responses;

  • Provide cultural, political,  and educational programs which responds to and address community needs;

  • Aid in the development of policies which promote the improvement of the quality of life for the citizens of Lawrence Township.

Through the years, the Eggerts Crossing Civic League has been responsible for promoting ideas and developing strategies to achieve these goals. The League encourages the participation of all citizens of Lawrence Township.
